Recently, I’ve been going through many of my personal belongings in an effort to cut down on the volume of sheer stuff that I have and also to hopefully sell a few things that I don’t need. In doing that I’ve uncovered some things that I’ve forgotten about or have tried hard not to remember.
The one thing that I’ve found in abundance is unopened bank statements from MSUFCU, which I have promptly shredded and discarded. It seems that every time I move, I always end up so rushed that instead of packing things properly and discarding things that I don’t need I just shove it all in boxes and bags and put it away somewhere. It’s quite a daunting task to go through it all. I’ve just about filled up my third garbage bag today- and I’m not even halfway through all of my stuff. And these are just the extraneous papers and junk- not even the stuff that I’m selling or giving away.
My goal is that, by the time I leave for the peace corps (hopefully, sooner) I will have pared everything down and be able to fit it all in my room and still have room to live there too. It looks like it will be a manageable task, if I can just get this damned large desk out of my room, find a place to shelve all of my books and put away all of my clean laundry.
