Crap.
I’ll re-type it later.
So, I’ve oficially been in France for a week now. I left amazing, wonderful perfect Gryon to go to Lyon. Much of my time was spent trying to locate my mail containing my replacement debit card. Couldn’t get cash advance anywhere, all of France is closed on Saturdays in August and I finally got some cash thanks to a few $20s stashed in my bag. Saw Farenheight 9/11 finally. That was interesting. Ihave more to expound….but not right now. Ended up not enjoying Lyon as much as I should have, due to wild goose chase. There was also a crazy french guy at the hostel who wore pancake makeup and begged on of my roommates to let him borrow her blush and lipstick. Interesting.
Next was Toulouse, which was lovely just like evryone says it is. Wished I could have stayed longer there instead of in stuid Lyon.
Spent a very long time on the train and eventually arrived in Rennes. Lovely place. Bumbled around and went upto the coast the next day where it pissed rain the whole time. I did eat some crepes and got my feet in the chilly Atlantic ocean. Tons of lavendar there growing all around.
Arrived in Paris yesteday afternoon, bumbled about in Montmartre, where my hostel is. The neighborhood reminds me of NYC- except I can understand even less of what people are saying. I’ve seen several people selling corn on the cob roasted over drum fires in shopping carts. Intersting.
Had dinner in the burbs lst night with Katie and spent today doing not much of anything. Time to do laundry, and then maybe dancing tonight if the weather holds. Let’s hope.
Very much loking forward to getting to Ste Affrique on Monday. Get to dance and see some familiar faces. Yay. Maybe, if I act quickly, I can get someone to bring me a Dr. Pepper. I’ve been craving that for months. *le sigh*
