the long update, vol. 1

Ok, so it has been almost a month since I have updated.  My how time flies when you are having fun.
So, I left off just before I went to Budapest.  Budapest was majestic, really an elegant city.  I did a lot of walking, saw some lovely architecture and went to the baths.
After Budapest came Vienna.  This is round two for me and Vienna.  It was not nearly as much fun this time around as the last, but oh well.  I saw a bunch of art, some good some just plain strange.
From Vienna I made my way to Munich.  On my second day there I managed to lose my wallet.  Way to go genius!  Ended up staying in Munich for a week, much longer than intended.  Took a day trip to Neuschwanstein, wich was completely shrouded in fog and was rained upon the entire day.  Met a bunch of cool people at the hostel, spent a good deal of time sunning and swimming in the English Gardens and saw a few museums.
Left Munich for Lindau, the island city on Lake Constance not too far from Bregenz (where I studied three years ago).  Did not actually see too much there as I was so tired I ended up going to bed really early.  Spent the next day in Bregenz, but staying in a youth hostel in Feldkirch.  The guy who worked there told me that the building was over 700 years old.  It was pretty cool.
I have more to update, but my time is running out.  I will send out the follow up in the next few days.
Auf Widersehen!
Vanessa
