A change of pace

So, I’m currently in Lisbon. That’s in Portugal, home of this year’s EM. (Portugaaaaaaal, Portugaaaaal!) Anyway, I leave tonight for Madrid where I will settle for a month. I’m looking forward to being somewhat sedentary for a bit…the nomadic lifestyle is hard. It’s nice when you’re not moving around every day or two. Most of all, I’m looking forward to being able to have a kitchen to cook in and be able to shop for groceries like a normal person (ie. not living off of pasta and bread).

It looks like the mother won’t be able to visit me, which makes me sad. Maybe it will still work out, but I dunno. So yeah, I start class on Monday and I settle into my home for the next month tomorrow midday.

BTW, I’m writing this post on the first ibook I’ve seen in europe, in cybercafe/hair salon in which all of the employees (mostly female) have fancy-trendy mullets and two of the customers are getting fauxhawk-mullet haircuts complete with two tone colors. It’s very interesting. I just hope this awful trend will not pick up at home, I don’t think I’ll be able to take it wheter it’s intended to be ironic or not.
